Data sheet AA6060
General properties
Aluminium-magnesium-silicon alloy, general purpose, whose main properties are low strength at extrusion temperature, which allows very complex, thin walled sections, high resistance to oxidation and corrosion in general; mechanical strength is not very high; fusion weldable.
Generally used in form of extruded rods, bars, tubes, shapes.
Ex stock the T6 temper is available; other tempers can be delivered on demand.
Typical applications
Structural components for which moderate strength and high corrosion resistance are required, complex shapes, architectural parts.
