General properties
Aluminium-magnesium alloy, general purpose, whose main properties are very high resistance to oxidation and corrosion in general; mechanical strength is low, cold formability is good; fusion weldable.
Generally used in form of sheet.
Ex stock the following tempers are available
- 0/H111 (maximum formability)
- H32 (trade off between formability and strength).
Other tempers can be delivered on demand.
Typical applications
Skins, pressure vessels, tanks and trucks, shipbuilding, chemical plants, plates, wheels, cryogenic applications, applications for which moderate static strength are required.
Parts to be embodied into welded structures.
